Task 3
The aim of the third task is for pupils to realize that, according to the climatic record of the geological past, the position of the continents in the distant past can be reconstructed, as the climatic zonality is more or less permanent. The presence of mainland glaciers and tropical coral reefs can be a clue. The teacher should explain that the width of the climate zones kept changing.
